A public joint stock company established in the year 1993 AD after the inclusion of the Free Markets Corporation (established in 1973), the Sudanese Exhibitions Authority (established in 1976), the Qurain Village Hotel and the Happy Land Restaurant – the Amiri Restaurant (established in 1978). The company was entrusted with the task of establishing and developing free zones and preparing Organizing local and international exhibitions and investing in the field of hotel, tourism and commercial work.
The Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Duty Free Limited is considered one of the largest companies operating in Sudan, whose shares are traded in the Khartoum Stock Exchange.

Company purposes

The main purpose of the company’s establishment is to adopt and activate the free zone industry in Sudan, in addition to its obligations to promote and improve free markets in all its outlets. The company is also committed to organizing local, regional and international exhibitions and specialized exhibitions, in addition to tourism, hotel and transportation services activities.

Foundation

It was established in September of the year 1993 AD by a legislative decree of the National Council and the approval of the President of the Republic in accordance with the Companies Law as a state-owned company in accordance with the Sudanese Companies Law.
